WENDY'S customers have seen significant changes to the Frosty recently, and are still looking for more.
The fast food chain's dessert has been around since 1969 as one of the first five items on the menu.
Only the Chocolate variation with a bit of vanilla was offered for decades until a pure Vanilla was added in 2006, and this month, everything changed for the Frosty.
Starting April 15, customers could get Frosty Swirls at Wendy's over 5,900 restaurants nationwide.
Frosty Swirls include a Chocolate or Vanilla ice cream base with special sauces.
Currently, those Swirls sauce options are Strawberry, Caramel, and Brownie Batter.

It doesn't stop there, either, as Frosty Fusions are also arriving on menus starting May 12.
Fusions include the sauces and new mix-ins that bring "extra flavor to the silky smooth Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty," per a news release.
Three Fusion options will be available to US customers.
They include the Pop-Tarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion, Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion, and Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion.

International customers have also seen Frosty Fusion options, at least six different from the three US versions, and customers are now demanding they be brought stateside as well.
SWEET TREATS
The six overseas Frosty Fusions were highlighted as "changing the game" by food insider Snackolator (@snackolator) in a Facebook post.
They included a Chocolate Covered Pretzel Frosty, a White Chocolate Strawberry Frosty, a Mango Tajin Frosty, a Mango Crumble Frosty, a Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty, and a Pistachio Frosty.
Snackolator noted that the Chocolate Covered Pretzel option was sold at Wendy's in Trinidad and Tobago, and the Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty was seen by customers in the United Kingdom.
Customers in Saudi Arabia were served the Pistachio Frosty, and the White Chocolate Strawberry, Mango Tajin, and Mango Crumble were seen in several others.
While Snackolator teased that the six international Frosty Fusion flavors being brought to the US "could happen," there's been no word from Wendy's on an expanded set of Frosty offerings from what was announced already.
Wendy's Frosty Flavors

The Frosty has remained a fan favorite at Wendy's, on the menu since the late 1960s when founder Dave Thomas created the treat.
The original Frosty flavor was a mix of chocolate and vanilla, as Thomas thought that a pure chocolate flavor would be too overpowering with Wendy's burgers.
Since its launch over 50 years ago, Wendy's has rolled out a handful of seasonal Frosty flavors:
- Strawberry
- Pumpkin Spice
- Peppermint
- Orange Dreamsicle
- Triple Berry
- Pineapple Under the Sea
- Salted Caramel
The U.S. Sun has contacted Wendy's for more information.
MAKE IT HAPPEN
Wendy's fans still cried out for the six flavors' availability in the States.
"I need that frozen hot chocolate one!" a longtime customer exclaimed.
"I would do ANYTHING for the pistachio one," another wrote.
"Ooo any would be amazing honestly," a third added.
Several others begged for the Mango Tajin.
American Wendy's customers also lost a limited-time Frosty earlier this month, with the Thin Mints version in recognition of Girl Scout Cookie season.
It launched on February 21 and stuck around until April 14.
The Thin Mints Frosty had a Chocolate or Vanilla ice cream base and a cookie crumble sauce inspired by the Thin Mints cookie.
Wendy's is also making some other changes.
