ORGANISERS of Bournemouth 7s are preparing for this year’s event.

The festival returns over the bank holiday weekend from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25.

Thousands of sport and music fans will flock to the annual event at Chapel Gate in Hurn.

Dodge Woodall, Bournemouth 7s founder, said: “We've been working hard behind the scenes to make sure this year's Bournemouth 7s continues to deliver on both the sport and music front.

“That's what makes this festival so special, and the team’s passion for putting it on every year is really infectious.

“Our focus is on providing a high-quality experience for everyone involved, from the competitors on the field to the festival-goers enjoying the music. It's going to be yet another cracking event.”

British rap sensation ArrDee will headline the event on the Saturday, with Ella Henderson performing on the Sunday.

ArrDee, who hails from Brighton, has produced top hits from Oliver Twist to Flowers (Say My Name) and collaborated with other rappers such as Aitch.

Meanwhile, Ella Henderson is known for chart-topping hits like Ghost, Let’s Go Home Together and her breakout on ITV’s X Factor.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a host of other musical acts across 10 stages, plus live sport, a funfair, silent disco and more.
