Turkmen apricot surplus set for export to Russia

Oguzýoly, associated with the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, plans to channel the excess apricot yield to the Russian Federation, as indicated by the Rysgal newspaper. Within the orchards situated in the Kaka district of Ahal velayat, early apricot varieties have reached maturation. Oguzýoly attributes the yield success to dedicated agronomic practices.

The apricots, noted for their freshness, are being distributed across Turkmenistan's retail outlets. Post domestic market fulfillment, arrangements are underway for export. This includes executing agreements with Russian stakeholders.

The enterprise cultivates orchards over several hectares allocated by the state, growing apricots, apples, peaches, plums, pears, cherries, among other crops. Specialized care protocols are implemented for each tree, focusing on irrigation and nutrition to ensure a consistent yield quality.
